How we built Getix Translate
Getix Translate gives people live captions in their own language during meetings and calls. It is our own product: we designed it, built it and launched it, and we run it every day from Valencia.

The task
Many meetings happen between people who do not share a first language. An interpreter is the classic answer, but interpreters are booked ahead and priced with minimums. That suits a signing or a negotiation. For the weekly supplier call it is rarely worth the cost.
The brief we set ourselves: captions in each person's language, in the moment, on the calls and at the tables where business already happens, at a price a small team can pay every week.
What we built
One product, three ways to use it. In each, you read in your own language and the original line stays in view.
On a call
A bot joins your Zoom, Google Meet or Microsoft Teams meeting under its own name, and you let it in like any guest. Each person opens the captions in their own language.
At the table
A laptop or a phone between the people talking. The screen splits for two, guests follow by link on their own phones, and, depending on the plan, an AI voice can read the translation out loud in selected languages.
On your screen
A webinar, a lecture or a video in your browser, with captions and a transcript just for you.
Around the captions sit the parts a real meeting needs: a transcript in both languages, or no transcript at all; a glossary for names and jargon; guest links and QR codes with no account to create; and Pocket Translate for conversations on the phone, turn by turn. Captions work in 60 languages.
It combines three kinds of services: speech recognition, machine translation and an AI voice. Machines do all of it, and no person listens in.
To see it in motion, watch the video tour on YouTube (about 4 minutes).
How we launched it
Here is what we put in place for customers.
Try it first. Five free minutes on a real meeting, with no card.
Prices in the open. Plans priced by meeting hours, with VAT included, on a public pricing page.
Public legal pages. Terms, privacy, cookies, complaints and a legal notice, each on its own page.
A security release. In October 2026: a separate channel for every meeting, sessions that can be revoked, permissions for each host and bot protection at registration.
A page for each audience. Hotels, real estate, relocation, schools and families each have their own page, and the blog runs in six languages.
What we learned
Keep the original in view
AI gets words wrong sometimes, and numbers, names and legal terms are where it slips. So the original line stays next to the translation, and teams can load their own vocabulary.
Price the meeting hour
Interpreters charge minimums and day rates, and some AI services sell a license for every listener. We put interpreters, agencies, AI platforms and apps into one unit, the meeting hour, with sources and dates, in our live translation price index. It is updated once a month.
Say where it struggles
Captions come out cleanest with a steady connection, a decent microphone and one speaker at a time. On mobile internet they can pause and catch up, so conversations on the move get their own mode on the phone.
Keep it visible
The bot joins under its own name and appears in the participant list. Guests read by link, with nothing to install and no account to create.
What comes next
Small releases, each one checked before it ships. A price index kept current every month. The same honesty about limits as the product grows.
For Getix Group, it is also the way we like to work with clients: build the product, launch it, then keep running it and making it better.
Good to know
Getix Translate is machine translation. It helps people follow a conversation, and it is not a sworn or certified interpreter: where the law or the situation calls for one, book a professional. Let everyone in the conversation know that translation is on. Some places require everyone's consent.
Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams are trademarks of their respective owners. Getix Translate is not affiliated with them.
